| Great article! I am so glad they are keeping this alive. I believe Josh is guilty and the more we have these searches the more he will squim like the little worm he is! Karma has a big date for him, AND I FEEL IT WILL BE SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!. You are doing a beautiful thing Linda. Tax man took a big bite of me yesterday!! Take Care all... | |

Donna, I'm sorry the tax man sunk his teeth in. Ouch! I just talked to the search coordinator and he agreed to my suggestion about researching mine locations that have a long drop from the shaft and would be easy to use to hide a body, also those that have been sealed off to check for tampering. I found out early on that Josh bought a welding torch around the time Susan went missing and that is what could be used to open a sealed off mine. What better place to hide a body than one with such a long drop that humans would never detect a smell, and no one can get into them? I thought I could contact the guy who helped me before with mine information and also the ranger from BLM who knows the desert to put a map together and a list of priority mines to check, enough to do in one weekend. So, I've got a LOT of research to do. We hope to do this search in June. Chris, the coordinator is an ex cop who now has his own investigation company. I don't know if you guys heard the news but recently on a local Salt Lake City newscast, they had video provided by a friend of Josh's who attended a Christmas party with them in 2008. He and Josh were talking about where they would hide a body if they had to and Josh said he would use a mine because it is the perfect hiding place! My jaw dropped to the floor after hearing that!

| Thanks Mandy!
Tooele County Sheriff's finished processing possible evidence found. I think they were relieved that we didn't pick up every foreign object in the desert and dump a ton of stuff on them. There were only a few finds we called them on, the cadaver dog hits that were confirmed by a second dog, some bones and some other clothing. The Sheriff's Dept finished processing things and found nothing related to the Susan Powell case. Our local paper quoted Sheriff Park as saying we did a good job. It certainly was a load off their minds that we reduced it to only 48 people rather than the initial 2000 who volunteered.
I'm working with the search coordinator, Chris Willden, collecting data and mapping out mines for our next search which we think will happen in June. Everyone seems willing to come back out and the motorized parachutes can cover a lot of ground in a short period of time.

| Donna,
Thank you so much! So many people are doing all they can to find Susan. She has such loyal friends who will not let this case go cold. I think it helps all of us to stay active and do something rather than just feel hopeless and give up. I got some new information from friends yesterday, a photo of a roof top carrier Josh uses and some of Susan's personal notes found yesterday. I think the case will be solved this summer.
